Sherlock Holmes

Guy Ritchie directed movie 'Sherlock Holmes' is full of thrill, suspense, action and adventures. The movie has adapted fictitious character Sherlock Holmes created by Scottish author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes is famous for his intellectual prowess, astute observation, deductive reasoning and forensic skills to solve difficult criminal cases. Conan Doyle wrote four novels and fifty six short stories in which Holmes used all his skills to solve mysterious cases.

The film is set in 1891 and features main characters Sherlock Holmes and Watson. Robert Dawney, Jr will be portraying character of Holmes the hero of the movie. Jude Law will be seen enacting character of Watson.

The detective pair got the task to fail enemy's mission to destroy Britain. The film starts showing Holmes apprehending the murderous cult leader Lord Blackwood who warns that he will return from the dead to take his revenge. The character of Lord Blackwood is played by Mark Strong. Rachel McAdams plays role of Irene Adler, the only woman ever to have bested Holmes and who has maintained a emotional relationship with the intelligent persona. Kelly Reilly acts as Mary who ignites Watson's love. Watson, the ally of Sherlock Holmes is a doctor and war veteran.

With a screenplay contributed by Michael Robert Johnson, Anthony Peckham and Simon Kinberg; screen story is written by Lionel Wigram and Michael Robert Johnson. The list of producers of the movie include: Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey, Dan Lian and Steve Clark Hall.

The music of the movie is composed by Hans Zimmer. The flick is 139 minutes long. Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company holds the authority to distribute pictures worldwide. It will be distributed in selected territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.

The movie is still in list of Upcoming Hollywood Movies. It is going to hit theaters on Christmas day 25th December 2009. Detective theme, action packed scenes and thrilling sequences has differentiated it from other Hollywood New Releases and made the movie worth to watch on big screens. The movie will earn benefits of festive mood of people. Audience response will decide the skill of director Guy Ritchie to transform a fictitious character live on screens.
